Leslie W. Dickinson Jr. died unexpectedly at Rhode Island Hospital on 11/22/24 in Providence, RI at the age of 76. Leslie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane L. Dickinson and their three children, Bethany L. Boddie of Chandler, AZ, Emily D. Dickinson of Providence, RI and Joseph H. Dickinson of Lincoln, RI. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Sr and Jeanette Dickinson and his brother Richard Valliquette. He is also survived by many family members including aunts and cousins. Leslie was born in Central Falls, grew up in Pawtucket and for the past 50 years lived in Lincoln, RI. He was a retired elevator constructor and had many stories he loved to
tell about his experience in the elevator industry and never saw an elevator that he didn’t want to inspect.
Leslie was known for his love of fishing, camping, watching sports (especially the Patriots), antique cars, history, and his signature train engineer’s hat. He was an active member of the Lincoln congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses where many of the members loving referred to him as "Uncle Les".
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, December 14th at 2:30 PM at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI. The burial will be private.
